AME – Association Of Music Entrepreneurs (Barbados)

The Association of Music Entrepreneurs (Barbados) is a not for profit organization comprised of professional business persons which serves as the focal point in Barbados for professionals involved in the music industry who are interested in the export of their goods and services.  The membership of AME includes artiste managers, live musicians, public relations managers, studio technicians and attorneys-at-law.

 At the macro level, AME's vision is to ensure that Barbadian music becomes a dominant force globally. With that in mind, the AME has pledged to provide an excellent forum for local artistes to take advantage of international opportunities and make synergistic partnerships with like minded business entities around the world.  The AME also has a developmental focus in order to maximize the opportunities which will be created. The association is also represented at the Caribbean Music Industry Networking Organization (CaMINO), ensuring that knowledge gained can be shared with our counterparts across the region.

 In its commitment to its mission, the AME will be assisting with the selection of delegations to represent Barbados at international music festivals and trade fairs.  Please be on the look out for AME (Barbados) at the World Music Expo (WOMEX) 2009 in Denmark, Marché International du Disque et de l'Edition Musicale (MIDEM) 2010 in France and South by Southwest (SXSW) 2010 in the USA.

 The AME believes in the distinctive sound of Barbadian music and the ability of this music to touch the lives of persons across the globe. The organization also believes in the diversity and international quality of goods and services emanating from Barbados, and the potential of our products to compete with anything the international community has to offer.
