Spar 1 Music Management Inc. is set to revolutionize the music industry in Barbados. The company has Michael Thompson at the helm with over 40 years of performance experience on the international circuits under the auspices of the Troubadours International. After his Recording Arts Management Studies, Mr. Thompson has seen it fit to develop the entertainment aspect of his business with focus on establishing the entertainers and keeping them in a mode which will be profitable with their chosen art.
This is not the empty dream of an idealist, since it is backed with tangible opportunities that would enable Barbados to become the hub for entertainment production for the entire region. This would be not be limited the genres of music currently within the region, but will extend to ensure that the art-form is represented to its fullest potential.
The business will significantly affect both the private and public sector in a positive way:- boosting morale and employment across the board through the generation of revenues that would enable sustainability at all levels. There will be mobilization of in-house and external project teams to facilitate the various activities that will be associated with the business of entertainment with which Spar 1 Music Management Inc will become synonymous.
Current clients include Kitorah, Troubadours International, Danny C, Sydney Chester, LXG and Teisha Thompson for the Arts & Entertainment and a book on the game of cricket. We offer services in Artist Development, Consultation, Marketing, Distribution, Production and recently been asked by the National Cultural Foundation to come up with a “Lecture Series” for interested youth and adults in the music industry.
